presentation by Dr. Libby Morris and colleagues Grants Changing Perspectives: Technology Integration in the Multicultural Classroom (FIPSE/CAPES Exchange Grant): (March 2003 - present) ($350,000 US and Brazil funds combined). A grant to address the need for multiculturalism in teacher education involving The University of Georgia, The Utah State University, Universidade Estadual Paulista, and Universidade Federal do Ceara of Brazil. The grant provides the creation of three new courses addressing multiculturalism and technology integration, in addition to language proficiency and six month student and faculty exchange between the US and Brazil. Multidisciplinary Specialists Designing Learning Objects with Cultural Affordances (FIPSE/CAPES Grant – submitted) ($350,000 request). Designed to meet market needs for training specialists from various disciplines in the design, development, and use of learning objects to facilitate learning. Of particular concern in this project is the development of learning objects with multicultural affordances. Representative Service
